Last-minute reminders!

Here are some last-minute reminders for those who will be making their way to the IAR Convention and Expo.

CE Reminders – You’ll have two opportunities to earn up to six state-approved continuing education (CE) credits. Remember to have your Illinois Real Estate License Number and your photo ID and check-in early as seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Note that the start times differ for the two CE sessions.

• Wednesday, September 17, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. (Check-in 1:15 – 1:30 p.m.) Lynn Madison, Pitfalls & Possibilities: Presenting & Negotiating Contracts (RB 707, 3 hrs. elective CE)
• Friday, September 19, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. (Check-in 12:45 – 1 p.m.) Lori Cox, Core B Legal Issues: Fact or Fiction-Anti-Trust, Fair Housing, RESPA, and Disclosure (COR 1637, 3 hrs. Core B)

Registration Desk Hours:

• Wednesday, September 17, noon to 5 p.m.
• Thursday, September 18, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Friday, September 19, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Special Event Tickets – If you have already purchased tickets for a special event, they will be in your registration packet that you will receive onsite. If you are interested in attending a special event and have not yet purchased tickets, please stop by the IAR Registration desk by 2:00 p.m. Wednesday to reserve your seat at the following:

• Inaugural Banquet, Thursday, Sept. 18 ($67) welcoming 2009 IAR President, Pat Callan
• Legal Issues Breakfast, Thursday, Sept. 18 ($25) with IAR Legal Counsel Steve Bochenek and NAR Senior Vice President and General Counsel Laurie Janik

REALTOR® Networking Icebreaker – Wednesday, September 17, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. (Directly following the CE session in the Lilac Room.)

Inaugural Festivities – Even if you’re not attending the Inaugural Banquet, all registered attendees are welcome to the Inaugural Reception and Dance featuring The Moods on Thursday, September 18.
